You know the quote:

“Making the decision to have a child – It’s momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.”- Elizabeth Stone

It’s one of my favorites, because it is absolutely true. You can’t even fathom loving something, someone so much that you are absolutely and positively consumed, until you birth a child. When we recorded this Storytelling session, the Mom was so overcome with emotion by the thought of having to verbalize her feelings for her son, that she had trouble talking. As a mom myself, I totally understood the weight of the task because there is so much to say: What words do you choose? How do you desribe a love so deep and powerful to do it justice? In the end, she was able to talk, to record these memories for decades to come. Her quote in the beginning of the video sums it up perfectly: “A miracle happened, our lives were turned upside down and I’m grateful for it every single day.”
