Some clients come along and you immediately know you fit together well, that what they are looking for in a photographer is exactly what you provide.  Mama G called me to discuss having family portraits taken and what stood out to me, is that she wanted to capture “the in between moments.”  She wanted images that captured the love and bond her family shared and the fun and innocence of her children.  She wanted them to be them, relaxed, happy and having fun.  I loved our telephone discussion.  That moment when you first meet someone and start getting to know them, what is important to them and what makes them tick, and you realize you share a lot of the same feelings.  It felt even more meant to be when she told me that her daughter’s name is Arden!!  As most of you know, my daughter’s name is Arden.  She is 10 months now and at the time of the conversation, I think she was about 5 months and I hadn’t yet heard of many other Ardens.  Mama G said she took it as a sign when she saw my little girl’s name on a blog post.  Sign, indeed, it was.  I thoroughly enjoyed their session and absolutely adore the images, some of my favorite family images to date.  Upon seeing the proofs, Mama G had this to say:

Let me start off by saying “WOW”!  We absolutely love the pics! Some pics are exactly what I had in my mind. I knew from the moment we met that it was going to be a great photo session, you completely captured the love of our family.  I was up all night constantly going through each picture, I couldn’t stop looking at them!  You know, I read your blog and was so inspired by your courage to step out of your comfort zone and into the field of photography; I’m so happy you made that step! I looked for a family photographer for over a year and came across your website. I looked at the beautiful pictures and video you posted of your family and knew in my heart you were perfect for our family. My kids completely adore you; [my son] kept talking about how sweet you were and [my daughter] wanted to go back to the park to see you. I don’t know how you did it, but you did “it” for us. 

Seriously, that response fills my heart and makes my world go round.  So so happy when clients love their images.
